A new poem to accompany my painting, ‘Silent Requiem’

I hear your voice whisper in the wind

as the trees bough down in reverence,

shedding their heavy load.

I am weightless.

All is still.

Time moves slower.

Soft notes dance through the first hush of Winter in silent requiem,

ode to the serenity

that the magic of the season brings.

It cradles my soul under ever changing skies.

The delicate harmony of nature, where quietude and solitude merge, creating a captivating symphony of peace.

Majestic, maternal landscape in repose,

Ancient and wise,

connecting past to future.

Each vista's gift, a revelation, In shifting light.
