We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars
— Oscar Wilde

I have always been a dreamer. Often in school, I was told to take my head out of the clouds as I would become lost in a book and the whole world would dissolve around me. This is still the case today!

The seeds for my book idea were sown when my solo exhibition happened to coincide with Ireland's national poetry week. Braving the elements. I displayed a small selection of poetry alongside my artwork for the first time, I was so overwhelmed by the generous response it generated that I decided it was time to collate all my written work with my artwork and produce a book. It gives me great comfort to know that my words, thoughts and life's work will have been preserved in these book for centuries to come.

I am beyond proud and honoured to have my poem, 'Winter Tapestry' included in - Washing Windows III: Irish Women Write Poetry, published by @ArlenHouse scheduled for release tomorrow, on May 1st.

Cover painting by the legendary artist Pauline Bewick.

Washing Windows III contains 100 new poems, selected by co-editor Alan Hayes, by women who have not yet published a full collection, with a stunning introductory essay by co-editor Nuala O’Connor.

Visual Anthology book cover.jpg

‘Visual Anthology’ was produced in 2019, an equal blend of Artwork and poetry with a few short stories thrown in for good measure..

This was a lovely journey, reminiscing and reflecting on the origins of each painting while also remembering where my inspirations came from in the first place. I invite the reader to step into my intimate world to gain a better insight into the thoughts behind the stories.

Beyond the Horizon Book cover.jpg

‘Beyond the Horizon’ is my first book, printed in 2016.
This book is dedicated to all those struggling artists who have never received financial assistance from their local County Council or the Arts Council but have had enough resolve, personal belief and faith to carry on.

The title 'Beyond the Horizon' is in memory of my Dad, Jackie Noonan who never got to fulfil his dream of publishing his book.
