‘Time-Lapse’ at Cnoc Bui Art Centre
My Solo exhibition ‘Time-lapse' will be traveling to Cork. The official Opening is on Thursday 30th May in Cnoc Bui Art Centre, Union Hall in West Cork and continues until Sunday 16th June 2024.
My touring show portrays the untethering of time that comes with Alzheimer's and the archaeological uncovering of a parent's entire life that accompanies their death. The entire collection creates an experience that invites the viewer to pause and reflect on the cherished moments that shaped their lives and to contemplate their own experiences of grief, love and the cyclical nature of life.
Aside from a large body of new paintings and original poetry, the display will include installations in the form of memory books, heirlooms, working sketchbooks, and vintage clothing from my Mum’s personal collection as a fashion designer circa 1959
